Email Signature Generator
Create a clean HTML email signature with your details, links and an optional photo or logo, then copy it straight into your mail app.
Preview
Kind regards,
⚠️ Your uploaded image is embedded in the signature as data. Many mail apps, including webmail, block or strip embedded data images, so recipients may see an empty box. An image hosted at an https address is more reliable.
HTML source
🔒 Your details stay in your browser. If you enter an image URL, your browser loads that image to show the preview; nothing is sent to ToolsCloset.
🔒 Everything you type stays in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.

How to use the email signature generator
- Fill in your name, job title, company and contact details. Leave a box empty to drop that line.
- List social or portfolio links, one per line, as
Label | URL. They appear as plain text links. - Optional: add a photo or logo by pasting its web address, or upload one from your device.
- Choose a layout, font and accent colour. The preview shows the signature as it will be pasted.
- Press Copy signature and paste it into your mail app’s signature box.
Why the HTML looks old-fashioned
Email apps display HTML far more strictly than web browsers do. Style sheets, CSS classes and scripts are commonly removed, and some desktop apps ignore modern layout features. So the signature is built the way email has long been built: nested <table> elements for layout and a style attribute on every cell. There are no classes, no <style> block and no scripts in the output.
<table role="presentation" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0"> <tr><td style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:17px;font-weight:bold;">Alex Rivera</td></tr> </table>
The four layouts
| Layout | What you get |
|---|---|
| Side by side | Image on the left, a thin coloured line, then your details. |
| Stacked | Image on top, name and title, a coloured rule, then contact lines. |
| Accent bar | A solid coloured bar on the left, details in the middle, image on the right. |
| Compact | Two or three short lines of text with no image. The safest choice. |
Images: hosted URL or upload?
A hosted image is a file that lives at a public https:// address, for example on your company website. The signature only contains the address, so it stays small, and this is the more reliable option. An uploaded image is shrunk in your browser (longest side 240 pixels) and embedded in the signature as data.
Many mail apps block or strip embedded data images, so the picture may be missing for recipients. Even hosted images are hidden by some apps until the reader chooses to show pictures. Make sure the signature still reads well as text alone.
If your logo is large, shrink it first with the image resizer or image compressor, upload it to your own site and paste that address here.
How to add it to your mail app
Gmail (web)
Open Settings, choose “See all settings” and find the Signature section on the General tab. Create a signature, click in the box, paste, then save your changes at the bottom of the page.
Outlook
Outlook has several versions (desktop, web, the new Outlook), and the signature editor sits in a slightly different place in each. Search the settings for “signature”, create a new one, paste into the editing box and save.
Apple Mail (Mac)
Open Mail’s settings and go to the Signatures tab. Add a signature, clear the placeholder text and paste. If the fonts change after pasting, look for the option that matches the signature to your default message font and turn it off.
In every app, use Copy signature for this, not Copy HTML. Signature boxes expect formatted content; pasting the source would show raw code. Copy HTML is for tools that have a dedicated “HTML source” field.
Tips and limits
- Send yourself a test message and open it on a phone and a computer. Mail apps differ, and no generator can promise identical rendering everywhere.
- Rounded images are not supported by every app; those apps show the image square.
- Keep it short. Name, role, one phone number and one link is usually enough.
- Want one link that covers everything? Build a page with the link in bio maker and use its address as your website.
Frequently asked questions
Is the email signature generator free?
Yes. There is no account, no watermark and no limit on how many signatures you make.
Does it work with Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail?
The output is table-based HTML with inline styles, which is the form email apps handle most consistently. Rendering still varies between apps, so send yourself a test message before relying on it.
Why does my image not show for the person I emailed?
Uploaded images are embedded as data, which many mail apps block or remove. Hosted images can also be hidden until the reader allows pictures. Use an image at a public https address and make sure the text works without it.
What is the difference between Copy signature and Copy HTML?
Copy signature puts the formatted signature on your clipboard so you can paste it into a signature box. Copy HTML copies the source code as text, for tools that ask for HTML.
Is my information stored anywhere?
No. The signature is built by JavaScript in your browser and nothing you type is sent to ToolsCloset. If you give an image URL, your browser loads that image for the preview.
Can I use special characters or emoji in my name?
Yes. Text is escaped so characters such as < > & and quotes appear as typed. Emoji are kept, though how they look depends on the recipient's device.
