ECAT aggregate formula
Aggregate = (Matric ÷ 1100 × 17) + (FSc ÷ 1100 × 50) + (ECAT ÷ 400 × 33)

Example: Matric 1000/1100, FSc 950/1100 and ECAT 300/400: 15.45 + 43.18 + 24.75 = 83.39%.
ECAT has 100 MCQs worth 4 marks each (400 total). The 17/50/33 formula is the one used by UET Lahore and its campuses. Other universities that accept ECAT may use different weights, so check their admission notice.
Tips to improve your merit
- The test has the biggest weight you can still change, so focus your preparation there.
- Use the target box to see exactly how many marks you need, and practise past papers under timed conditions.
- Apply to several universities and programs, since cut-offs change every year.

What is the ECAT aggregate formula?
(Matric ÷ 1100 × 17) + (FSc ÷ 1100 × 50) + (ECAT ÷ 400 × 33).
Can I use FSc part 1 marks?
If your final FSc result isn’t out yet, universities often accept part 1 marks (out of 550). Enter 550 as the FSc total in that case, and check the admission notice.
