Dice probabilities
With one fair die, every face is equally likely: 1 in 6 for a d6, 1 in 20 for a d20. With two dice, totals in the middle are more common:

Dungeons & Dragons uses a set of seven dice: d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and a percentile d100. In D&D notation, “2d6” means roll two six-sided dice and add them up.
