How to change audio speed
- Choose an audio file (or a video; its soundtrack is used).
- Drag the slider: below 1× slows down, above 1× speeds up.
- Press Change speed and download the MP3.
The first time you use this tool, your browser downloads the media engine (about 31 MB, FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly). It’s cached afterwards, so later uses start quickly. A computer is much faster than a phone for long files.

- 0.75×: learning songs, transcribing interviews, language practice.
- 2×: skimming long recordings.
The pitch stays the same, so voices sound natural at any speed.

Does changing speed change the pitch?
No. The tool uses time-stretching, so voices and instruments keep their natural pitch.

From 0.25× (four times slower) to 4× (four times faster).
