Engagement rate formula
Engagement rate = (likes + comments + shares) ÷ views × 100
Example: (450 + 38 + 20) ÷ 10,000 × 100 = 5.08%.
What is a good engagement rate?
As a rough guide for views-based engagement, 1–3% is average, 3–6% is good, and above 6% is excellent. Rates vary by platform, niche and audience size; smaller channels often have higher rates.
